2024 Audi Q8 e-tron price and specs

Pricing and specifications for the upcoming 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron line-up have been published, with prices up by around $7800-$8800.

The facelifted e-tron, now known as the Q8 e-tron, is now available in just three trim levels at launch, with the high-performance SQ8 e-tron and SQ8 Sportback e-tron to be detailed in due course.

Audi Australia has left the entry-level 50 quattro off the Australian cast again, with the 55 quattro drivetrain the sole option across SUV and Sportback body styles. A new Launch Edition is available with the SUV body style.

Pricing kicks off at $153,900 before on-road costs, which is $7825 dearer than the outgoing e-tron 55 quattro. The Q8 Sportback e-tron is $8825 up on its predecessor.

Drivetrains

All versions of the Audi Q8 e-tron at launch will feature the ’55 quattro’ drivetrain, which pairs a dual-motor electric drive system (one on each axle) to a 114kWh (gross) lithium-ion battery pack and a two-stage planetary gearbox with single gear.

System power is rated at 300kW, while maximum torque is 664Nm. Audi quotes a 0-100km/h time of 6.5 seconds in the drivetrain’s standard setting, which drops to 5.6s when in boost mode.

The Q8 e-tron 55 claims to hit 200km/h flat out.

Efficiency and Range

Both the Q8 and Q8 Sportback 55 e-tron quote combined energy consumption of 25.6kWh per 100km according to the local spec sheet.

Driving range is advertised as up to 454 kilometres based on ADR 81/02 testing, though is likely aligned with WLTP figures. The previous model quoted around 430km on the older, more lenient NEDC test cycle.

As standard, the Q8 e-tron offers 7.2kW AC single-phase charging capacity, while DC charging has been raised from 150kW to 170kW – 10 to 80 per cent takes approximately 31 minutes at the DC peak.

For $6900, buyers can up the AC capacity to 22kW, which also includes the Audi connect charging system.

Servicing and Warranty

The Q8 e-tron is covered by Audi’s five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.

Buyers of the Q8 e-tron, like the e-tron before it, also score a six-year unlimited subscription to the Chargefox public charger network, as well as six years of complementary scheduled servicing and six years of roadside assistance.

Safety

The Q8 e-tron retains the pre-facelift model’s five-star ANCAP safety rating, based on 2019 Euro NCAP tests.

It scored 91 per cent for adult occupant protection, 88 per cent for child occupant protection, 71 per cent for vulnerable road users, and 78 per cent for safety assist.
