SsangYong Australia has detailed the pricing and standard specification of its updated Musso dual-cab ute ahead of their imminent arrival at local dealers.

Pricing for the updated SsangYong Musso range has risen by up to $1910, depending on the variant. The range now starts $40,000 drive-away for the ELX, and extends to $45,000 drive-away for the Ultimate.

The longer-wheelbase XLV Pack is still available across the entire Musso range for $1500. Itlengthens the tub by 300mm; swaps out the multi-link coil rear suspension for leaf rear suspension which increases payload; and also increases peak torque to 420Nm.

With the update the entire Musso range now receives a new dashboard which comprises a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Other interior changes include horizontal air vents, two USB-C ports, as well as a touch-capacitive pod for the dual-zone climate control on the flagship Musso Ultimate with the optional Luxury Pack.

There’s a new mid-range Adventure variant that slots above the ELX and offers features like the black 18-inch alloy wheels and heated and ventilated front seats which were previously reserved for higher-specified models.

On the Musso Adventure and upwards, there’s a new LED fog light setup that’s positioned vertically in the lower bumper edges.

A new feature the entire updated SsangYong Musso range receives a soft-opening and easy-close tailgate.

The Korean carmaker also claims to have improved ride comfort by developing new lower body to chassis mounts.

Ultimate and Luxury Pack models gain touch-sensing front door locks with a walk-up welcome system that sees the side mirrors unfolded and puddle lamps illuminate when the drive walks up to the ute with the key.

The doors and tailgate also automatically lock when the driver walks away from the ute.

The Musso is now available with a new Amazonian Green exterior paint colour thanks to “dealer and customer feedback”. It joins the six-strong colour palette.
