As if the BMW XM didn’t stand out enough already, Mansory has made the performance SUV even bolder.

The German tuner has released renders of a BMW XM body kit which it says has an “extraordinary aerodynamics programme”.

It comes complete with a carbon-fibre bonnet and fully forged wheels, and Mansory says its customers can also customise the interior of their XM.

Based on the rendered images, the bonnet gets a unique two-tone design with a carbon-fibre centre and distinctive air intakes.

There are colour-coded brake calipers and extended side skirts with a textured finish similar to that applied to the front bumper and bonnet.

Down back, there’s an aggressive rear spoiler with black accents. The rear bumper also has a textured black finish as seen elsewhere on the vehicle.

There’s also a new diffuser, plus air intakes on either side of the vertically stacked dual exhausts.

While it’s unclear what is under the bonnet of the Mansory XM, BMW offers three plug-in hybrid powertrain options.

The entry-level XM 50e, not offered here, has a twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine mated to an electric motor, with total system outputs of 350kW of power and 700Nm of torque.

The XM is offered in Australia with a twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 PHEV powertrain in two tunes.

The standard model pumps out total system outputs of 480kW and 800Nm, while the Label Red produces 550kW and 1000Nm.
