Tesla has cut the ribbon on its largest Supercharger location in Australia.

Located in Albury, New South Wales, the new public fast-charging station features 16 individual V4 Superchargers, each capable of charging at up to 250kW.

The chargers were first spotted by Jules Boag on X (formally Twitter) at the beginning of December.

According to the Tesla application, the new station is operational and available to Tesla owners in the area. The Driven reports it’ll be opened to all Australian electric car owners after the busy Christmas holiday period.

The V4 chargers used at this new station offer a charging cable that’s a metre longer than on the V3 Supercharger.

Tesla secured government funding in 2022 for four 15-bay Supercharger locations across Australia.

Previously, the largest local Supercharger locations were in Campbeltown, Yass, and Box Hill. All three feature 12 chargers, albeit V3 units instead of the V4 units using in Albury.
