A pedestrian has narrowly avoided death after a driver sped through a red light and collided with another car just metres away in La Plata, Argentina.

The two cars spun off in seperate directions after smashing in an intersection, just missing the pedestrian.

The incident occurred in La Plata, a city in Argentina. The collision was caught on street CCTV cameras, and later posted to YouTube by Your Future Car.

A Jeep Renegade can be seen appearing to run a red light, colliding with a Peugeot 206 before careering off into a bus.

The pedestrian is seen caught in the crossfire, but manages to avoid the collision itself – though debris appears to fly their way.

According to the video, Argentine police said no one was seriously hurt. The pedestrian and drivers were treated at the scene.

Based on video footage, it appears the pedestrian may have been treated for shock.

The drivers of the other vehicles are able to exit their vehicles and receive medical treatment on the sidewalk.

The front left corner of the Peugeot was largely disintegrated, while the Jeep received a bent bonnet and front bumper damage.

Thankfully the angle at which the Jeep collided with the bus it meant that there was no catastrophic damage to the larger vehicle.
